Tragedy unfolds in this sweeping production, which is a perennial audience favourite. Pier Giorgio Morandi conducts one of opera's most beautiful and heartbreaking scores. Paulo Szot adds another role to his remarkable repertoire, singing Sharpless for the first time and is joined by a cast that also includes tenor Piero Pretti as Pinkerton, and mezzosoprano Elizabeth DeShong as Suzuki.
